At the end of June 2026, the first local workshops of the AI Skills Hub – Adult Education in Digital Competences project were officially launched.
The workshops are designed to help adult learners, educators, trainers, NGO staff and professionals develop practical knowledge of artificial intelligence and understand how AI tools can be used in education, communication and everyday professional activities.
Each workshop focuses on a different topic and combines short presentations, practical examples, comparisons between tools and interactive exercises. Participants are encouraged to test AI applications directly and explore how they can use them in real working situations.
The workshop programme covers five main areas:
Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence
Participants explore how AI systems may reproduce bias and influence the way people understand information, images and social issues. The workshop encourages critical thinking and helps participants recognise that different AI tools may provide different interpretations of the same topic.
Privacy, Data Protection and Copyright
This workshop raises awareness about the information shared with AI platforms. Participants discuss what type of personal or professional data should not be uploaded and learn about the differences between online and offline AI models. Copyright, ownership and the responsible use of AI-generated materials are also addressed.
Prompt Engineering and Image Generation
Participants learn how to write clear and effective prompts. Through practical exercises, they compare different instructions and observe how small changes in wording can significantly affect the final text or image produced by an AI tool.
Practical AI Tools for Content Creation
This workshop demonstrates how AI can support the creation of presentations, lesson plans, tests, images, videos and digital communication materials. Participants explore practical tools that can be used in education, training, project work and social media communication.
Comparison of AI Chatbots
Participants test and compare different AI chatbots, examining the clarity, accuracy, reliability and relevance of their answers. The activity also helps participants identify incorrect or invented information and understand the strengths and limitations of different platforms.
The workshop series will continue during the summer of 2026, offering participants opportunities to strengthen their digital competences and better prepare for the increasing use of artificial intelligence in education and the workplace.
