The Digital Boost for Health and Beauty Professionals – DiBoost-HB project has published its first newsletter, presenting the project’s objectives, planned activities and first steps to a wider European audience.
The newsletter introduces DiBoost-HB as an Erasmus+ small-scale partnership created to address the digital skills gap in the health and beauty sector. The project brings together organisations from Portugal, Spain, Romania and Türkiye and aims to improve the digital competences and employability of professionals, vocational learners and trainers.
The first edition explains that the project will focus on three main areas: the development of a Digital Training Curriculum, the implementation of a Train-the-Trainer Programme, and the organisation of practical workshops in the four participating countries. More than 120 participants are expected to benefit from the practical learning activities.
The newsletter also presents the project’s kick-off meeting, held on 3–4 December 2025 at the facilities of AFN – Academia Formação do Norte in Porto, Portugal. During the meeting, the partners reviewed the project work plan, clarified their roles and responsibilities and discussed financial management, communication and quality assurance.
A visit to AFN’s health and beauty training facilities gave the partners a practical perspective on the professional sector that the project intends to support. By the end of the meeting, the collaboration agreements had been signed and the partnership had established a clear list of actions for the next implementation phase.
The first newsletter also announces the development of the Digital Transformation Curriculum, which will be the project’s first major educational result. This curriculum will provide free and accessible resources designed to help health and beauty professionals strengthen their digital skills and adapt to changing workplace requirements.
Through the publication of this first newsletter, the DiBoost-HB project has taken an important step in informing professionals, trainers, students, vocational education providers and other stakeholders about its work. Future editions will continue to present project progress, training opportunities, educational resources and results.
