EDU TECH GRYPHON DISCOVERIES Romania has officially started its activities within the European project EduPeace – Empowering Schools for Peaceful and Inclusive Learning Environments, project number 2025-1-PL01-KA220-SCH-000353073.
The EduPeace project brings together European organisations with experience in education, digital innovation, teacher training and social inclusion. Its main objective is to support schools in developing peaceful, inclusive and emotionally safe learning environments. Through research, educational resources, practical methodologies and digital tools, the project will help teachers and students prevent and manage conflict, bullying, cyberbullying, discrimination and other challenges affecting school communities.
During the first implementation period, EDU TECH GRYPHON DISCOVERIES Romania actively participated in project coordination, planning and communication with the coordinator and partner organisations. The organisation followed the agreed project timeline and contributed to the activities included in Work Package 1 – Project Management and Coordination, Work Package 2 – Research and Educational Framework, and Work Package 5 – Dissemination and Communication.
Romanian Research and School Community Input
One of EDU TECH’s first major responsibilities was to contribute to the primary research conducted within the EduPeace project. The organisation collected Romanian perspectives through questionnaires completed by 10 teachers and 10 students, providing a total of 20 responses.
The research highlighted several important needs within Romanian schools. Teachers expressed the need for practical, ready-to-use lesson plans, clear methodologies and educational tools that could be easily integrated into classroom activities. Students emphasised the importance of role-playing activities, group discussions and safe learning environments in which young people can communicate openly and feel that teachers listen to them without judgement.
These findings will help the partnership develop educational materials that are relevant to the realities experienced by teachers and students in different European countries.
Romanian Case Studies and Practical Examples
EDU TECH GRYPHON DISCOVERIES Romania also prepared four Romanian case studies, presenting practical approaches that can contribute to more peaceful and inclusive school environments.
The case studies addressed:
- intercultural dialogue within a multi-ethnic school community;
- the use of restorative circles for resolving interpersonal conflicts;
- peer-led activities for preventing cyberbullying;
- environmental responsibility as a common theme for encouraging cooperation and community participation.
The examples were connected to the EduPeace educational modules and to the competences required for peace education, conflict prevention, inclusion and active citizenship.
Development of the Bullying and Cyberbullying Module
As part of the EduPeace Educational Framework, EDU TECH GRYPHON DISCOVERIES Romania began developing Module 3 – Managing Bullying and Cyberbullying.
The module focuses on bullying prevention, cyberbullying, digital citizenship, safeguarding, reporting mechanisms, bystander intervention and the development of a whole-school anti-bullying culture. It includes learning outcomes, methodological recommendations, practical activities and digital or gamified elements that teachers will be able to use with students.
Through this contribution, EDU TECH supports the development of practical resources that will help teachers recognise bullying situations, respond appropriately, encourage responsible online behaviour and create safer school communities.
Website and Communication Activities
EDU TECH GRYPHON DISCOVERIES Romania contributed to the creation and development of the official EduPeace website:
The organisation also supported the preparation of the website translation process and the publication of project information, news, newsletter content and communication materials.
As part of the dissemination work, EDU TECH followed the project’s Social Media Toolkit and Erasmus+ visibility requirements. The organisation shared information about the project through social media, the official website and educational networks in Romania.
The first dissemination activities included information about:
- the EduPeace project’s objectives and expected results;
- the creation of the project logo;
- the first Transnational Project Meeting in Lublin, Poland;
- the official EduPeace website;
- the first project newsletter;
- online partnership and dissemination meetings;
- the educational resources that will be developed during the project.
These activities helped introduce EduPeace to Romanian teachers, schools, educational professionals and members of the wider community.
A Strong Start for the Romanian Partner
By 30 June 2026, EDU TECH GRYPHON DISCOVERIES Romania had completed and shared the contributions required during the first implementation period. These included national research results, Romanian case studies, the initial development of the bullying and cyberbullying module, dissemination evidence, website support and participation in project coordination.
The organisation will continue working closely with the EduPeace partnership to develop, review, test and promote innovative educational resources. Its future activities will include cooperation with Romanian teachers and schools, further development of educational content, dissemination of project results and support for the implementation and testing of the EduPeace tools.
Through its participation in EduPeace, EDU TECH GRYPHON DISCOVERIES Romania is contributing to a European initiative that promotes dialogue, inclusion, emotional resilience and peaceful conflict resolution in education. This first implementation period has established a strong foundation for the organisation’s continued work and for the achievement of the project’s long-term objectives.
